Moral Brains and Power: Greatest Minds for Truth on Peace in Anglophone Cameroon

 What's up?

Seeking to effectively address the armed conflict going on in the Anglophone regions of Cameroon, a bond of moral brains and power was created on a fate mission of peace for the people of Anglophone Cameroon. Through a series of mobilization efforts and strategic plans that overcame most maneuvering attempts to block the peace process of the Anglophone General Conference (AGC), the bonded two succeeded in cutting across with their solution proposals that influenced the most important shift of position of the opposing belligerents.

What did they do that has not been done before?

What prospects are there that their work may be the key to the civil war in Cameroon?

What are government actions taken and how have the separatists' been influenced by their works?

What's down?

At one end, there is His Eminence Christian Cardinal Tumi, incarnated with moral power beyond all that there was around him, at the other, there is Dr. Kelly NGYAH, incarnated with incredible fate brains power beyond all that there is in front of him. What they planned to do, they did it, though many remain blind to such materialisations. When the belligerents and their entourage tried to delay them physically, they moved spiritually, when they tried stalling them institutionally, they moved technically, and when they tried blocking them materially and financially, they moved intellectually.

If the miraculous 2 did all they wanted for peace and succeeded in their endeavours, how come there is still ongoing civil war in the English speaking regions of Cameroon?

What were the actual outcomes of the 400page document with respect to the Cameroon government's position and the separatist moves?

What more can the 2 still do to push towards an end to the hostilities?

Anglophone General Conference (AGC): Preparatory Progress Assessment

 What's up?

The over three years-long armed conflicts between the separatists and the Cameroon army in the North West and southwest regions of the country that started in the year 2016 with grievances of teachers and lawyers over institutional reforms, has known several interventions from the government, political parties, religious institutions, civil society actors and intergovernmental bodies, to solve the problem, yet, the violence and human rights abuses continue to rise.

  • Is it that there are no possibilities to address the real issues at stake over the conflicts?
  • Are the stakeholders of the conflict really interested in seeking durable solutions to the conflict?
  • Can political discussions on the form of the Cameroon State engender a real path to durable solutions?

What's down?

The AGC, lead by his eminence Christain Cardinal Tumi, a meeting of elderly religious leaders of the Muslim, Protestant, and Catholic religions sorted assistance from MAHSRA, and through a globally instituted questionnaire, they were able to collect data, analyze and galvanize the thoughts of over 918 Cameroonians originating from the English speaking regions of Cameroon. Respondents were residents across 38 different countries and originating from 57 out of 64 subdivisions within 13 divisions of the North West and southwest regions, and representing over 63 socio-cultural groups and other civil society organizations reacted to the questionnaire.

  • What were the outcomes of such a broad-based consultation effort?
  • Did the results contribute to the process of change in the crises?
  • How strategic were the results for the AGC planning?

The ANGLOPHONE'S MINDSET IN CONFLICT

Solution to Anglophone Crises

What’s up?

When tensions are very high and opposing factions, in a very sensitive armed conflict are more determined than ever to tear each other apart, yet, they claim to do so in the interest of the vulnerable and suffering populations bearing the consequential impacts of deaths, displacements, impoverishment and oppressed silence, there is obviously something wrong somewhere.  In such cases, when the vulnerable and highly threatened majorities are given a voice to air their worries through a secured channel, what would their reactions be?
  • Are they going to be in support of those who threatened to torture of kill them if they fail to show support for their cause?
  • Are they going to cry out to the heavens for mercy and pity for the calamity that has befallen them? Or
  • Are they going to come outright and clear to condemn the inhumane acts perpetrated against their persons, relations and livelihoods?

What’s down? “Facts are facts”

The situation in the Anglophone Cameroons has continued to know a rise in violent confrontations between the military and separatist ambazonian fighters, series of abductions and kidnappings, unprecedented human rights violations, destruction of property and institutional values, tribal and political hatred, armed banditry etc. While the world continues to mount pressure on the current regime to engage in sincere dialogue, the regime stays increasingly adamant and prefers deploying its own military tactics, are Cameroonians not thinking at all or are they enjoying the war and loss of their patriotic values?
  • Who are those behind the stalemate of a dialogue process and who are those afraid of whom and what, should a sincere dialogue process be engaged?
  • What are the real stakes behind the failure of the current government, its administration and its values? Who has been telling lies to whom and on what?
  • Are there possibilities for a change and what will it take to build such a change (what will make or facilitate a durable change process for the Anglophones and the rest of Cameroon in its entirety)?

Find out in the Anglophone’s Mindset in Conflict: solutions to the Anglophone crises.

RELATING HUMAN DEVELOPMENT WITH CONFLICT AND PEACE

What’s up?

If we consider that human development aspects can be influential in conflict provocation and mitigation openings it will be obvious to affirm that countries or societies with higher human development measures should be more stable and peaceful. However, the conundrum is faced with example country situations countries such as Libya and Tunisia with considerably high HDI, but they still fell into major revolutionary wars. The question asked in this stance now is:
  • How reliable are these HDI statistics if they are not concretely complemented by some reliable situational adjustment effects?
  • Are there other probable reasons to make believe that human development foster conflicts?

What’s Down?

It is understood that the major focus of the HDR is for guiding governments at better policy orientations for the appropriate human relativity growth within the entire national economy setup, but if it can also serve as a dynamic tool to get into the root causes of some untraceable conflicts, then it may become a greater endeavor for human security and an advocate for real sustainable development achievements.  The Human Development Report (HDR), through its latest Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI) mechanisms have the probability of uprooting the community level grievances on the basic understanding that the causal links to parental failures in child up-bring and home upkeep lead to youthful delinquency and increased criminality within community.
  1. If we consider that the MPI mechanisms can help adjust child up-bringing towards mitigating youthful delinquency, in the event of severe civil crises in which the economy seems moving well, what should be the political leadership practices to mitigate the conflict and maintain peace?
  2. Is it also probable to assume that a majority of civil strife causes, though often camouflaged under the umbrella themes of democracy movements, are often a manifestation of the peoples’ lack of basic household and livelihood necessities or the unequal distribution of economic opportunities over the same aims?

The phenomenon of conflicts and peace has to do with human discerning and positive understanding of the values of peace and solidarity, which without them there can be no real sustainable societal development, thus, if the HDRs were to be, to a considerable extent, tilted towards an analytical approach for uprooting the probable causes to major societal conflicts, then, they may become the most appropriate conflict prevention, management and resolution measures.

MAHSRA also indicates that it is presently undergoing a series of research works on gender equality intervention schemes and best ways for integrating pragmatic gender equality policy development and direct peace activity growth within local, national, intergovernmental, and international frameworks. And thus, is highly soliciting support from the public.

THE AFRICAN WORRY AND HOPE

What’s up?

It’s obvious that the African man has gone through an ordeal of intense suppression and oppression from the days of the colonial regimes via the colonial administration, and since then he (the African man) became a new person reborn into the western political philosophy in which he knew very little about and as such has failed in every perspective in managing the adopted foreign rule.
  • Can’t the African man choose another alternative road?
  • Should the African man continue to copy development philosophies that are failing in their traditional African context?
  • Are we certain that the African man is ready to fully integrate the inherited systems of development that hurt him in the past and is still hurting him now?

What’s Down?

Colonial and Neocolonial dependency, I suggest, must have corrupted the African’s proper development potency and killed his confidence in self-development and also made him an enemy to his brother in order to grab as much as possible of the free goods for his today’s survival and tomorrow’s providence. What Africa fails to understand is the fact that, she is the mother of humanity and was bestowed with all the human growth and development potentials within her, yet she still chooses to stay in the temptation of foreign and artificial facilities that may only lead to its own destruction because it lacks the original know-how to manage such. The series of violent conflicts and genocidal blood bath within Africa because of the western perspectives of political power bear witness to this.
  1. We have borne and still bear the pain of history yet, we still support and attach ourselves to the root causes and influences of such pain, how can we therefore ascertain true change for progress within our environment;
  2. Political governance in Africa is not authentic because it is copied by the wrong mentalities for the wrong egoistic reasons but are the African people supposed to rely on such corrupt elites’ thinking against their own development drives?

If Africa is now facing new development institutions from emerging nations to support its sustainable development aspirations, are there further reasons to doubt the original will of these development partners?
